A very short bit about myself.

I am currently a student at River Falls High School in River Falls, WI, where I enthusiastically participate in multiple ensembles as a trumpet player. Beyond performing, I dedicate my free time to composing music, a passion that truly drives me. I recognize that I am on a continuous journey of learning and skill development. While I may not have a dramatic life story, I am deeply committed to expressing myself through my compositions and other musical pursuits. I hope my work resonates with you and brings enjoyment! With a genuine love for music as my guiding force, I explore various genres and styles in my compositions, each piece offering a glimpse into my creative journey. Whether crafting intricate orchestral arrangements or intimate solo pieces, I approach each composition with curiosity and a desire to convey meaningful emotions through my music. Embracing the learning process wholeheartedly, I recognize that my musical journey is a continuous evolution. I value the opportunity to share my compositions with others, inviting listeners to experience the stories and emotions woven into each piece. I hope that my music resonates with audiences and brings them joy, as I continue to explore and develop my unique musical voice.

Limbitless
Limbitless was inspired by the story of a young girl named River, whose spirit and determination show that limits are often only things we imagine. River was born with a limb difference, and throughout her life she has shown again and again that being different does not mean being held back. For her, difference has become a source of strength, confidence, and new opportunities. When she was young, River learned how to do things her own way. Physical therapy helped her find her balance and develop skills, but it was her creativity and determination that helped her thrive. There were times when she felt unsure about standing out, especially when people focused more on her hand than on who she was. Over time though, she met others who were limb different like her and discovered a community where she felt instantly understood. She even helped begin an annual event in Wisconsin that brings limb different families together. Through these experiences she grew into someone who proudly believes that “different is awesome.” The title Limbitless was chosen because River approaches her life without limits. She climbs, plays, creates, and imagines just like anyone else, and often with even more excitement and joy. This piece reflects that journey. You may hear small moments of adversity, but they are overshadowed by bursts of confidence, color, and celebration. These musical moments echo the things that make River who she is, from her love of teal and aqua to her friendships, her family, and her belief that everyone deserves to be seen for who they truly are. River’s name reminds us that a river always finds its own way forward, carving its path even when the world around it changes. In the same way, Limbitless follows her strength, her kindness, and her ability to rise above the expectations placed before her. This piece is written for River and for anyone who has ever felt different. May it encourage us to look beyond appearances, to ask each other questions that matter, and to celebrate the unique paths we each take.
